Rolex 24 At Daytona Ranks Eighth, Motul Petit Le Mans in Tenth
DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. – The fans have spoken and delivered a verdict: the bookend events of the IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship season are among USA Today’s 10Best Motorsports Events in North America.
Both of IMSA’s two nominated events, the season-opening Rolex 24 At Daytona at Daytona International Speedway and season finale Motul Petit Le Mans at Michelin Raceway Road Atlanta, made the list in eighth and 10th, respectively.
The two events were among a wide swath of entries spanning NASCAR, open-wheel, sports cars, dirt cars, drag racing, off-road racing and more.
An esteemed panel selected the finalists, with once daily voting open to fans throughout the month of April.
Daytona International Speedway featured twice on the list, with NASCAR’s season-opening Daytona 500 ranking fifth. You can view the full list here, via USA Today.
The Rolex 24 At Daytona and Motul Petit Le Mans both delivered record-setting attendance in their most recent runs. At the 2026 Rolex 24 At Daytona, the track reported more than 180,000 fans over four days.
These two top-10 results add to a bevy of past 10Best inclusions for IMSA events.
The Mobil 1 Twelve Hours of Sebring was voted North America’s No. 1 motorsports event in 2019 and 2020 and ranked second in 2021, only behind the Indianapolis 500.
Additionally, races in Long Beach and WeatherTech Raceway Laguna Seca joined both the Rolex 24 and Motul Petit Le Mans in the top-10 in 2019.
