Chambers, Porter, Hepworth and Calderon headline RAFA Lamborghini line-up

DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. – Jem Hepworth, Tatiana Calderon, Chloe Chambers and Ian Porter will lead RAFA Racing Team’s two-car effort in the 2026 Lamborghini Super Trofeo North America championship, beginning with next week’s season opener at Sebring International Raceway.

Chambers will pair with Porter in one RAFA Racing Team Lamborghini Huracán Super Trofeo EVO2, while Hepworth teams with Calderon in the second entry as the organization continues its presence in one of North America’s most competitive single-make GT championships.

The Lamborghini Super Trofeo effort forms part of RAFA Racing Team’s expanding 2026 program, which also includes entries in two other IMSA-sanctioned championships: IMSA Michelin Pilot Challenge and IMSA VP Racing SportsCar Challenge, among other series.

Both driver combinations completed a two-day test at Sebring ahead of the race weekend, allowing the four drivers to gain valuable experience with the Lamborghini Huracán Super Trofeo EVO2 on one of the most demanding circuits on the calendar.

Chambers returns to U.S. racing

Imsa Lstna Rafa26 Chambersporter 031226Chambers returns to full-time competition in the United States after two race-winning seasons in the international F1 Academy championship.

The American driver has built experience across both single-seater and sports car competition and will use the Lamborghini Super Trofeo North America season as a key step in her continued development in GT racing.

Her first experience with the Lamborghini came during the Sebring test, which she described as an important opportunity to adapt to the car’s unique characteristics.

“It was my first time driving that car,” Chambers said. “I have a decent amount of experience in sports cars, but primarily my experience is in open-wheel cars, so it’s definitely an adjustment.

“I think the Super Trofeo is one of the more raw race cars that you can drive.”

The two-day test gave Chambers time to familiarize herself with the car, the team, and her new teammate Porter ahead of the opening race.

“It was nice to get those couple of days of testing before the race weekend so you can get used to the team, get used to the teammates, and get used to the car,” she said. “Overall, it was a positive experience, and I’m looking forward to being back in Sebring next week with Ian.”

Chambers said starting the season at Sebring presents a significant challenge, but one that should ultimately help accelerate the learning process.

“It’s a tough track to start at, but hopefully once you learn it and understand the car here, the rest of the season will come a bit easier. I’m really looking forward to this opportunity with the RAFA Racing Team and really thankful for the support of my long-time partner Monoflo International for their continued support making this new adventure happen.”

Porter steps up from VP Racing SportsCar Challenge

Porter joins the Lamborghini program after winning the Bronze championship in IMSA VP Racing SportsCar Challenge last season, driving the Toyota GR Supra GT4 EVO2.

The step into Lamborghini Super Trofeo North America represents another major milestone in his rapidly developing racing career, as he transitions into one of the most competitive GT championships in the region.

Despite the challenge of facing a large field of experienced professional drivers, Porter said he is eager to embrace the opportunity.

“I’m excited to get in the Lamborghini,” Porter said. “It’s going to be a massive test because the competition in this championship is extremely strong.”

For Porter, the opportunity to continue progressing through different forms of GT machinery has been one of the most rewarding parts of his career so far.

“Being able to go from Porsche to Toyota and now Lamborghini has been incredible,” he said. “A lot of drivers don’t get that chance even once, so to experience these different cars and championships has been amazing. I’m just over the moon to be driving again, and I cannot wait for Sebring next week.”

Porter also believes the step into Lamborghini Super Trofeo will be an important learning experience, given the strength of the grid.

“It’s definitely going to be different lining up on the grid because the level of competition is so high,” he said. “But that’s exactly why I’m excited about it. It’s a huge challenge and a great opportunity to keep learning.”

Hepworth returns as team’s senior Lamborghini driver

Imsa Lstna Rafa26 Calderonhepworth 031226Hepworth enters the 2026 season as the most experienced Lamborghini driver in the RAFA Racing Team line-up after competing with the team in the championship last year.

Now returning for a second consecutive season in the Lamborghini Huracán Super Trofeo EVO2, Hepworth effectively takes on the role of the team’s “senior pro,” bringing valuable knowledge of the car and the series to the program.

After climbing back into the Lamborghini during the Sebring test, she said the car immediately felt familiar.

“The first thing I said when I got in the seat was that it felt like home again,” Hepworth said. “I know the Lamborghini now, and I understand how it likes to be driven. It’s not an easy car, but I love driving it.”

The British driver said the two-day test was extremely productive, with the team running both cars across a variety of programs, including short runs and race simulations.

“We had the two cars there with four drivers running across both days, and it was a really positive test,” she said. “We did quick runs and longer race simulations, and everything felt really consistent.”

Hepworth said working with Calderon had also been a positive early step for the new pairing.

“Tati was incredible in the test,” Hepworth said. “She’s a really cool co-driver, super focused and really fast. Driving with her this year is going to be incredible.

“We worked really well together straight away, and I think we’re going to be a really strong pairing this season.”

The two drivers quickly discovered that their preferences in the car were closely aligned, something Hepworth believes will help them as the season progresses.

“We share the same seat, and we like the car set up in a very similar way, so that makes things much easier,” she said. “We were working together during the test, trying to find the best direction for the race runs, especially on older tires, which is really important in this championship.”

Returning for a second season in the same car and championship is something Hepworth believes will be key to unlocking more performance in 2026.

“I’ve never done two seasons in a row in the same car before, so building on last year’s experience is exactly what I want right now,” she said.

Calderon brings international experience to first Lamborghini season

Calderon joins RAFA Racing Team for her first season in Lamborghini Super Trofeo North America, bringing extensive international experience across single-seater and GT competition.

Calderon arrives with extensive international experience across both single-seaters and endurance racing.

The Colombian driver previously served as a test and development driver in Formula 1 with Alfa Romeo F1 Team, competed in the IndyCar Series with AJ Foyt Racing and has raced in championships including FIA Formula 2 Championship, Super Formula Championship in Japan, and the FIA World Endurance Championship, including the 24 Hours of Le Mans.

The Colombian driver said the opportunity to join RAFA Racing Team and compete in Lamborghini Super Trofeo was an exciting next step.

“I’m super excited to join RAFA Racing for the Lamborghini Super Trofeo,” Calderon said. “The team has clearly shown they are capable of winning, and I’m very happy to have the opportunity to race with a team that has built such an incredible ecosystem for its drivers.

“I was on track with them earlier this week, and they’ve already given me a very warm welcome and provided great tools to help us go after a strong season together. I’m really looking forward to getting started and want to thank everyone who has believed in me, as well as all my sponsors, Karol G’s foundation ConCora, AVL RACETECH, and Escudería Telmex-Claro. We have a very exciting year ahead.”

For Calderon, the Sebring test was particularly valuable as she adapts to the Lamborghini Huracán Super Trofeo EVO2.

“It was really important to do this test because the car is quite different from what I’m used to,” she said. “It’s a very powerful car, and it was important to understand the car, the team, and the teammates before the race weekend.”

She also said that working with Hepworth during the test proved immediately productive.

“It was the first time we met, but we clicked very well,” Calderon said. “We share the same seat position, and we drive in a very similar way, which is already a great start.

“She has a lot of experience in the Lamborghini, which will help me a lot, and we want to work together because the goal is to win.”

Sebring opens a new campaign

The 2026 Lamborghini Super Trofeo North America season opens next week at Sebring International Raceway as part of the IMSA Twelve Hours of Sebring event. RAFA Racing Team will also be on track at Sebring with its IMSA Michelin Pilot Challenge line-up of Kiko Porto and Varun Choksey.

Following the Sebring opener, the championship continues across several of North America’s leading road courses with rounds at WeatherTech Raceway Laguna Seca, Watkins Glen International, Road America, and Indianapolis Motor Speedway. The season then concludes with the Lamborghini Super Trofeo World Finals at Monza in November.
