DAYTONA BEACH, Florida – CarBahn with Peregrine Racing is set to return to Daytona International Speedway for another season in the IMSA Michelin Pilot Challenge (IMPC) Grand Sport (GS) Class featuring an exhilarating two-car lineup for the 2026 season, reuniting familiar faces and newcomers. Additionally, the team is stepping foot into new territory with their first entry in the VP Racing SportsCar Challenge. The team is looking forward to returning to Daytona and building on the strong foundation established during the 2025 season, as well as bringing fresh energy into a new class of racing.
Veteran drivers of the No. 39 BMW M4 GT4 EVO — Jeff Westphal and Sean McAllister — are ready to take their third Rolex 24 as a driver pairing after earning Vice Champion honors in the GS Drivers’ Championship last season. In pursuit of the 2025 Championship, the pair earned two wins at Sebring and Canadian Tire Motorsport Park before the championship came down to the wire to end the season. Westphal and McAllister are no strangers to the challenges of Daytona and are focused on converting their championship momentum into a step on the podium this year.
Alongside Westphal and McAllister, the familiar faces of Cameron Shields and Stephen Wetterau are set to take the new No. 37 BMW M4 GT4 EVO to the track for their first full season in IMPC after a cameo appearance in 2025. This addition follows their successful debut as a pairing at Road America last year where they took home second place. Dawning the iconic black and green Peregrine Racing livery, TPC Capital Solutions also joins the No. 37 BMW M4 as the primary partner with Wetterau and Shields. The pair’s return to the cockpit signals the team’s continued commitment to developing drivers at the championship level, and the team is excited for what they will bring to the track for the 2026 season.
Courtney Crone is set to make her debut with Peregrine Racing in the VP Racing SportsCar Challenge series this week in the No. 35 BMW M4 GT4 EVO during the Roar Before the Rolex 24. Crone is fresh off a stint at F1 Academy, having raced for ART Grand Prix representing Haas for the 2025 season. Crone’s entry is anything but unfamiliar territory for the driver as she previously competed in the VP Racing Challenge in 2023 where she earned six podiums and two top five finishes.
IMSA Michelin Pilot Challenge practice begins during the Roar Before the Rolex starting on Friday, January 16, with a total of five practice sessions allotted for competitors through Sunday, January 18. Qualifying for the IMPC GS class begins at 1:35 p.m. ET on Thursday, January 22. The green flag for the four-hour BMW M Endurance Challenge is set for 1:45 p.m. ET on Friday, January 23, with full event coverage streaming on Peacock.
On-track action for the VP Racing SportsCar Challenge begins Friday, January 16, with competitors scheduled for two practice sessions throughout the day. Qualifying for the VP GSX Class will take place Saturday morning at 10:25 a.m. ET. The first of two 45-minute races goes green at 2:00 p.m. ET on Saturday, January 17 with the weekend concluding on Sunday, January 18, when the final challenge is set to begin at 1:20 p.m. ET with full event coverage streaming on Peacock.
What They’re Saying: CarBahn with Peregrine Racing Quotes
Jeff Westphal, co-driver, No. 39 BMW M4 GT4 EVO: “After narrowly missing the championship title last year, continuity will be key for Sean and I in the No. 39. We’re back with same top-level program, the same Michelin tires and the same BMW M4 GT4. Aiming to apply the very specific lessons we learned in 2025 for another championship title run. I nothing but the upmost faith in CarBahn with Peregrine Racing as it’s a team of determined winners, and I cannot wait to get back into the car.”
Sean McAllister, co-driver, No. 39 BMW M4 GT4 EVO: “I’m so excited to be back in 2026 with CarBahn w/ Peregrine Racing! After such a successful 2025 season and being SO close to bringing home the overall win in the championship, I can’t wait to get back out there soon with what looks to be an even more competitive field. We’re going to continue doing what we do best and building on what we ended 2025 with in order to give us the best shot at bringing home the championship this year!”
Stephen Wetterau, co-driver, No. 37 BMW M4 GT4 EVO: “Committing to a full IMSA Michelin Pilot Challenge GS season in 2026 represents an important step in my professional racing career. Following a strong 2025 series debut that resulted in a podium finish at Road America, it’s clear we have the chemistry, preparation, and shared ambition to compete at a high level. Peregrine Racing operates with exceptional professionalism, technical depth, and attention to detail, and I’m grateful to Steve Dinan and Mark Siegel for believing in me and providing the opportunity to grow within such a proven program. I’m also thankful for the continued partnership with TPC Capital Solutions, whose support now and into the future is instrumental as I build a long-term presence in the IMSA paddock. Cameron Shields and I have built a strong friendship outside the car, which translates directly into trust, communication, and execution on track. His extensive professional sports car experience, refined racecraft, and ability to manage traffic, pace, and pressure make him an ideal teammate over a full GS season. With the strength of Peregrine Racing behind us and the momentum from our debut, our objective is clear and aggressive: to race at the front every weekend and challenge directly for the IMSA Michelin Pilot Challenge GS championship.”
Cameron Shields, co-driver, No. 37 BMW M4 GT4 EVO: “2026 is shaping up to be an incredible year for CarBahn with Peregrine Racing. I was fortunate enough to compete with the team in two races last year – finishing second at Road America and fifth at Road Atlanta. I’ll be driving with Steve Wetterau for the full season, we have been putting in a lot of time to our offseason preparation and feel very confident that we can compete for the podium every race this year. Steve and I are proud to announce that TPC Capital Solutions is remaining as our title sponsor again in 2026 and we are excited to grow our partnership programs that we host at each race event.”
Courtney Crone, driver, No. 35 BMW M4 GT4 EVO: “Joining Peregrine Racing for the 2026 VP Racing SportsCar Challenge season is an exciting next step in my career. They have proven success in the GT4 class, that gives me the confidence that this is the right environment to keep developing as a driver and competing at the highest level. I’m incredibly grateful for the opportunity and can’t wait to get to work with the entire team.”
Mark Siegel: “Peregrine Racing is excited to be back in the Michelin Pilot Challenge and VP series for another year partnered with our amazing friends and colleagues at CarBahn Motorsports. We’re looking forward to having two competitive entries in the Michelin Pilot Challenge, especially after coming in second in the championship last year with Jeff Westphal and Sean McAlister. Cam Shields and Steve Wetterau are another talented pairing, and we think Courtney Crone is poised for a fantastic debut in the VP series with all her experience in open wheel and prototype race cars. The growth of our program reflects our commitment to driver development as well as excellence on track. I’m very excited to see all three of our cars kick off the new season!”
