Andrea Hidalgo Appointed as Corvette Racing Program Manager

DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. – GM Motorsports and Corvette engine specialist Andrea Hidalgo is Corvette Racing’s new Program Manager to start the 2026 racing season.

Ahidalgo CorvetteHidalgo moves into the program management role ahead of the Roar Before the 24 and the Rolex 24 At Daytona. She most recently was part of the team at GM’s Performance and Racing Center as Senior Race Engine Calibration, Development and Track Support Engineer for the Corvette Z06 GT3.R program.

In that role, she most recently served as trackside support engineer for TF Sport in both its FIA World Endurance Championship the last two seasons plus select European Le Mans Series races in 2025. She also led controls development and implementation efforts for Corvette customer teams as part of the manufacturer’s work toward meeting FIA GT3 engine regulations.

Hidalgo spent a number of seasons as part of the Corvette Racing factory program in the C8.R era. Her technical background also includes expertise in the areas of combustion, drivability, aftertreatment, diagnostics and transmission development dating back to 2008 – first as an intern and then part of the GM production team in 2010.

She holds a Master of Engineering in Global Manufacturing and Automotive Engineering from the University of Michigan and a Bachelor of Mechanical Engineering from Stony Brook University in New York State, where she was an active member of the Stony Brook Motorsports SAE Baja team.
