DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. – Medusa Motorsports is proud to officially announce its entry into the 2026 IMSA Michelin Pilot Challenge, headlined by a formidable three-driver roster for the season-opening BMW M Endurance Challenge at Daytona International Speedway on January 23rd. Rising stars Sam Corry, Hunter Yeany, and Athan Sterling will complete the team’s Grand Sport (GS) class lineup, marking a bold new chapter for the woman-owned racing organization.
Competing with the iconic Ford Mustang GT4, Medusa Motorsports brings a fresh, values-driven approach to the paddock, blending high-performance engineering with a team culture rooted in collaboration and psychological safety.
Leadership Perspectives
Ivy Sterling, Owner of Medusa Motorsports, expressed her pride in the team’s foundation and its 2026 outlook:
“Medusa Motorsports was built to redefine the traditional ‘dog-eat-dog’ culture of racing. We’ve created an environment where integrity and mutual respect are just as important as our lap times. Bringing Sam, Hunter, and Athan together reflects that vision—they are not only exceptionally fast, but they share our commitment to a positive, collaborative model of success. We are ready to show Daytona what a values-driven team can achieve.”
Brandon Graham, Director of Competition, highlighted the technical strength of the driver squad:
“To win at Daytona, you need drivers who can balance raw speed with the discipline required for a four-hour endurance race. In Sam, Hunter, and Athan, we have a trio that covers every base. Their combined experience across open-wheel and sports car disciplines gives us a significant edge. The Ford Mustang GT4 is a proven platform, and with this lineup, we expect to be fighting at the front of the GS field from the moment the green flag drops.”
The Driver Lineup
- Sam Corry: A standout talent from North Carolina, Corry arrives at Medusa following a stellar 2025 season where he finished second in the Trans Am TA2 championship. Known for his technical feedback and racecraft, Corry is one of the most versatile junior-level racers in North America.
- Hunter Yeany: The youngest-ever winner of an FIA Formula 4 series, Yeany brings international pedigree to the team. With experience in FIA Formula 3 and a race-winning 2024 campaign in USF Pro 2000, his transition to the Mustang GT4 marks him as a driver to watch in the endurance ranks.
- Athan Sterling: A rising force in American motorsports, Sterling moves into the IMSA Michelin Pilot Challenge following a successful 2025 Formula Regional Americas campaign. Sterling’s adaptability and “relentless drive” make him the perfect anchor for the team’s endurance debut.

Team Introduction
Medusa Motorsports, a newly formed professional racing organization, is proud to announce its official entry into the 2026 IMSA Michelin Pilot Challenge. The team will campaign the race-proven Ford Mustang GT4 in the Grand Sport (GS) class, marking a bold arrival into one of North America’s most competitive sports car series.
This entry represents the culmination of extensive planning and development, positioning Medusa Motorsports to compete immediately against established veterans in the paddock. By selecting the Ford Mustang GT4—a platform renowned for its V8 power, reliability, and engineering support from Ford Performance and Multimatic—the team has signaled its intent to fight for podiums from the very first green flag.
“We are incredibly proud to unveil Medusa Motorsports and join the IMSA paddock for the 2026 season,” said Ivy Sterling, CEO of Medusa Motorsports. “This team is built on a foundation of ambition and precision. While we may be a new name on the entry list, our vision is long-term and our hunger for success is unmatched. Entering the Michelin Pilot Challenge with the Mustang GT4 gives us the perfect platform to showcase what we are capable of, and I can’t wait to see our colors on the grid at Daytona.”
The move to the IMSA Michelin Pilot Challenge places Medusa Motorsports in the heart of manufacturer-supported GT4 competition, a series known for its grueling endurance format and close quarter racing.
“From a competition standpoint, there is no better place to be right now than the Michelin Pilot Challenge,” said Brandon Graham, Director of Competition. “The level of talent in the GS class is staggering, but that is exactly why we are here. We chose the Ford Mustang GT4 because it is a proven weapon that rewards aggressive driving and consistency. We have been working tirelessly behind the scenes to assemble a crew and engineering package that matches the quality of the car. We are not just showing up to participate; we are showing up to compete.”
