DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. – Gou Racing w/Stallion will run a special throwback livery with family ties in this weekend’s IMSA Michelin Pilot Challenge WeatherTech Raceway Laguna Seca 120.
The team, which ordinarily runs a Cupra Leon VZ TCR, is listed to run the No. 55 Audi RS3 LMS TCR in Monterey with Eddie and Eduardo Gou.
From the team:
“This weekend at Laguna Seca is a special one for us.
“For the throwback event, the No. 55 Gou Racing Audi RS3 LMS will carry a livery inspired by a car raced by Eduardo Gou Sr. in Mexico during the 80s and 90s. He passed away in 2014, but his passion for racing is still a big part of everything we do today.
“This design brings back to the 80-90s era GOU colors and branding from our family business, a reminder of our origins both on track and off. The original car competed in the Reto Neon series in Mexico, and even earlier, Eduardo Sr. raced in IMSA events in the 70s and 80s.
“Being able to bring this livery back and run it at Laguna Seca means a lot to our family and our team. It is more than just a throwback, it is a tribute to the person who started it all for us.”
