Andrews to Sub for Hasse-Clot at van der Steur Racing at WeatherTech Raceway

DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. – Scott Andrews will make his third start of the 2026 IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship season as one of a handful of fill-in drivers at the series’ trip to WeatherTech Raceway Laguna Seca.

Andrews, who raced the opening two rounds as part of his IMSA Michelin Endurance Cup role with Lone Star Racing in its No. 80 Mercedes-AMG GT3, shifts to another Grand Touring Daytona (GTD) entry: the No. 19 van der Steur Racing Aston Martin Vantage GT3 Evo.

He’ll race alongside Rory van der Steur as the team is continuing to embark on its first full WeatherTech Championship season with its Aston Martin, after running a Michelin Endurance Cup program in 2025. Andrews substitutes for Valentin Hasse-Clot in the No. 19 Aston Martin as Hasse-Clot has a schedule conflict here and per the team, other “selected races.”

The No. 80 Mercedes-AMG opened the year strong sixth and fourth in the Rolex 24 At Daytona and Mobil 1 Twelve Hours of Sebring. The No. 19 Aston Martin finished 11th and 13th in those two events and added an eighth at Long Beach this past weekend.

The StubHub Monterey SportsCar Championship airs Sunday, May 3, at 4 p.m. ET on Peacock.
