UNOFFICIAL DHL CLASS TOP-FIVE FINISHERS:

  1. Zachry Lee – No. 48 McCumbee McAleer Racing
  2. Tom Tait – No. 8 Competition Motors

ROBERT NOAKER, No. 13 Robert Noaker Racing Ford Mustang Dark Horse R (DH) – “I expected the grip to be worse than yesterday with there being more water on the track, but it didn’t really make a difference for our Mustang. Even with the safety cars and restarts, the grip stayed the same, which just shows how good these Michelin wet tires are and how well Ford Racing can put on a good show with the Dark Horse R.”

SAM PALEY, No. 26 Paley Motorsport Ford Mustang Dark Horse R (DH) – “The race was fun. This was the first real rain race in the Dark Horse R, and the car handled well, which is what I expected. We had a solid package, but it was [Robert] Noaker’s day. I’m happy to come home second thanks to my program, Paley Motorsport, and the crew back in the tent.”

DEVIN ANDERSON, No. 22 TechSport Ford Mustang Dark Horse R (DH) – “We were able to get the tires dialed in for race two, and I need to say ‘thank you’ to Robert Noaker Racing for helping us get the tires on before the race. We had to start from pit lane, but we got back up there and fought hard. The Dark Horse R had a ton of pace and I was feeling strong, so it all came together for a podium finish.”

ZACHRY LEE, No. 48 McCumbee McAleer Racing Ford Mustang Dark Horse R (DHL) – “I was struggling with visibility in the car today, but the race itself was great in the Dark Horse R. I was able to take advantage of some other cars’ mistakes. I think the Dark Horse Legends championship is really close, and it all comes down to the Roval. My goal is to win both those races to claim the championship.”

TOM TAIT, No. 8 Competition Motors Ford Mustang Dark Horse R (DHL) – “We had to put in some very mellow laps for quite a while before we had some attrition in the field, and wet racing is always an equalizer. We were able to make a pass for second place on the last lap. The Dark Horse R handled great in the rain. The race was a lot of fun, and Competition Motors did a great job this weekend.”

PAOLO SALVATORE, No. 84 Torre Racing Ford Mustang Dark Horse R (DHL) – “Yesterday was my first rain race in the Dark Horse R, and today was my second. I was still trying to figure everything out. Luckily, I was able to keep it on the track and race clean. Thank you to Stephen Vajda and NV Autosport for helping me mount the rain tires. Also, thank you to my team and my wife, Michelle.”
