Perrina Wins Trofeo Pirelli North America Title in Rain-Soaked First Mugello Race

SCARPERIA, Italy – In the first day of racing as part of Ferrari Mondiali at Mugello International Circuit, Massimo Perrina (Ferrari of Seattle) won the Ferrari Challenge Trofeo Pirelli North America title. Ferrari’s full recap covering both North America and Europe is linked here.

Ferrari Challenge North America. The seventh and final round of the North American series saw Massimo Perrina win the Trofeo Pirelli title. The Ferrari of Seattle driver earned his eighth victory of the season at a rain-soaked Mugello Circuit, also setting the fastest lap, in a closely contested race that saw him finish ahead of Roberto Perrina (Ferrari of Seattle) and Dylan Medler (The Collection). In the Am class, Rafael Duran celebrated his first win after starting from pole position. On the podium with him were teammate Rey Acosta in second and Lithuania’s Gerdas Venslovas (Continental AutoSports) in third.

In the Coppa Shell, championship leader Mitchell Green (Ferrari of Westlake) started from pole but was overtaken halfway through the race by his title rival Yahn Bernier (Ferrari of Seattle), who had lined up second on the grid. The duel between the two remains wide open, with Green forced to retire from Race 1 and now trailing by nine points. Joining him on the podium were Andrew Parker (Ferrari of Naples) and Bryan Waltersdorf (Continental AutoSports).

In the Am class, Melissa Kozyra (Ferrari of Naples) celebrated her first victory, finishing ahead of David Williams (Ferrari of Central Florida) and Stephanie Herfield (Ferrari Philadelphia). The title contest remains wide open, with Gabe Hrib (Ferrari of Atlanta) and Michael Owens (Ferrari of Alberta) now separated by just one point.

Program. On Friday 24 October, the Finali Mondiali Ferrari program continues with Race-2 of the Prancing Horse’s one-make series. At 10:15 a.m., the Ferrari Challenge North America hits the track. At 12:05 p.m., it is the turn of the Ferrari Challenge Europe Coppa Shell Am. At 2:55 p.m., the Trofeo Pirelli and Trofeo Pirelli Am Europe races begin. At 4:45 p.m., Race-2 of the Coppa Shell Europe wraps up the day.

Also on Friday, the track will host Ferrari’s exclusive non-competitive program: XX Programme, F1 Clienti and Sport Prototipi Clienti.
