DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. – Three teams announced new drivers for their Motul Petit Le Mans lineups this week to cap off the 2025 IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship season.
Earlier this week, Acura Meyer Shank Racing w/Curb-Agajanian welcomed Tristan Vautier into the No. 93 Acura ARX-06 alongside Renger van der Zande and Nick Yelloly in Grand Touring Prototype (GTP).
“Honored to be joining @hondaracingglobal @meyershankracing for this year’s Petit Le Mans! I’ll be teaming up with @rengervdz & @nickyelloly on the #93, and we’ll be giving our best to help @hondaracingglobal win the Manufacturers’ Championship. Thanks to everyone involved for the trust, I can’t wait,” Vautier wrote on Instagram.
JDC-Miller MotorSports also named two more new drivers to its No. 85 Porsche 963 in GTP, with two-time Motul Petit Le Mans winner Neel Jani and IMSA newcomer Max Esterson joining the team’s full-season driver Tijmen van der Helm.
Conquest Racing confirmed past IMSA Michelin Endurance Cup champion Mike Skeen as third driver in its No. 34 Ferrari 296 GT3 alongside Daniel Serra and Manny Franco as the team seeks a repeat of its 2024 Grand Touring Daytona (GTD) win.
A handful of other new faces in new places, or slightly adjusted lineups, were posted as part of Wednesday’s entry list release.
- Julien Andlauer will join the No. 6 Porsche Penske Motorsport Porsche 963 (GTP)
- Connor De Phillippi will race in both Paul Miller Racing BMW M4 GT3 EVOs (Nos. 1 and 48) in GTD PRO
- Michael Christensen rejoins the No. 77 AO Racing Porsche 911 GT3 R (992) lineup in GTD PRO with a new livery; he won alongside Laurin Heinrich in Indianapolis in 2024
Most third drivers confirmed have already been announced or are returning to action as they have in other Michelin Endurance Cup races this year. In both GTP and Grand Touring Daytona Pro (GTD PRO), three drivers are mandatory at Michelin Raceway Road Atlanta while the last two Michelin Endurance Cup rounds – the pair of six-hour races in Watkins Glen and Indianapolis – saw most GTP and GTD PRO teams run two-driver lineups.
Motul Petit Le Mans goes green on Saturday, October 11, at noon ET on NBC network with streaming via Peacock, IMSA.TV and IMSA’s Official YouTube channel.
