Nasr, Andlauer, Estre, Vanthoor for Full Season; Campbell, Heinrich Join for Enduros
DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. – Porsche Penske Motorsport will maintain a level of championship-winning drivers for its 2026 IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship effort in Grand Touring Prototype (GTP) with its two Porsche 963s.
Felipe Nasr is the lone full-season driver set to return for 2026 and will share the No. 7 Porsche 963 with Julien Andlauer. Nasr is a three-time champion in the WeatherTech Championship, taking top-class honors in 2018, 2021 and 2024, and has won three of the past four Rolex 24 At Daytona races (2025 and 2024 overall, 2022 in Grand Touring Daytona Pro). Andlauer steps up to a full-time WeatherTech Championship seat for 2026; he’s made 12 series starts from 2022 through 2025, with most coming in a KellyMoss Porsche 911 GT3 R (992) in 2023.
In the sister No. 6 Porsche 963, Kevin Estre and Laurens Vanthoor are set to share the seat with both set for a full-time return to IMSA competition. In Estre’s case, it’s been since 2014 with Park Place Motorsports, and he’ll look to capture his elusive first IMSA victory as he’s gone his first 22 starts without one. Vanthoor, by contrast, is a two-time IMSA champion (2019 GT Le Mans, 2021 Grand Touring Daytona) and was part of the Rolex 24 and Mobil 1 Twelve Hours of Sebring-winning lineups in the No. 7 car in 2025 alongside Nasr and Nick Tandy. Estre and Vanthoor combined to win the 2024 FIA World Endurance Championship in Hypercar with Porsche Penske Motorsport.
Matt Campbell, who won last year’s WeatherTech Championship GTP title, shifts to the IMSA Michelin Endurance Cup seat in the No. 6 car alongside Estre and Vanthoor. Campbell won the championship this year with Mathieu Jaminet who has departed Porsche for Genesis in 2026.
Getting a step-up to GTP is Laurin Heinrich, the 2024 GTD PRO champion with AO Racing’s No. 77 Porsche 911 GT3 R (992), who will be the new IMSA Michelin Endurance Cup third driver in the No. 7 Porsche 963 alongside Nasr and Andlauer.
Porsche is due to make further 2026 program announcements during its annual Night of Champions in Germany later this week.
