Several WeatherTech Championship, IMSA Challenge Series Programs Revealed in Last Week Before Thanksgiving
DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. – With the IMSA-sanctioned November test at Daytona International Speedway completed over the weekend, a handful of further programs have come together and been announced for 2026.
IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship
The newly rebranded 13 Autosport has its fourth driver, with Ben Green set to share the team’s No. 13 Corvette Z06 GT3.R in Grand Touring Daytona (GTD) alongside the familiar trio of Orey Fidani, Matt Bell and Lars Kern.
Tower Motorsports has confirmed Sebastian Alvarez’s return in the No. 8 ORECA LMP2 07 in Le Mans Prototype 2 (LMP2).
Also in LMP2, the Bryan Herta Autosport with PR1/Mathiasen combined outfit has confirmed Misha Goikhberg for the full season and Ben Keating for the Rolex 24 At Daytona in its No. 52 ORECA. Tristan Vautier and Parker Thompson tested for the team at Daytona but have not been confirmed yet for the race.
IMSA Michelin Pilot Challenge and/or VP Racing SportsCar Challenge
The CSM team has confirmed an unchanged lineup of Gordon Scully and Morgan Burkhard for 2026.
The same is true for Stephen Cameron Racing with its pairing of Sean Quinlan and Greg Liefooghe in the Racing to End Alzheimer’s supported No. 19 Ford Mustang GT4.
Rebel Rock Racing has announced its acquisition of a GT3-spec Aston Martin Vantage GT3 Evo, with the intent to bring it into select IMSA VP Racing SportsCar Challenge races in the Grand Touring Daytona X (GTDX) category. The team is debuting it at another race series meeting this weekend in Sebring to gain GT3 race experience.
Victor Gonzalez Racing Team, which won the last two Touring Car (TCR) races of the Michelin Pilot Challenge season, has confirmed Tyler Gonzalez and Franco Girolami aboard its No. 99 Cupra Leon VZ TCR for 2026 via an Instagram post.
