It’s Early November, But Who’s Going Where for 2026?

DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. – In advance of Wednesday’s release of the entry list for the November IMSA-sanctioned test at Daytona International Speedway, here’s a recap of team announcements across the IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship and two Challenge series:

GTP

Zilisch Set for Cadillac Test Debut

NASCAR phenom and past Rolex 24 At Daytona winner Connor Zilisch, only 19, will make his test debut in the No. 31 Whelen Cadillac V-Series.R next week with eyes to a potential race addition in the car for the Rolex 24 itself.

MSR Full-Season, Endurance Drivers

Acura Meyer Shank Racing w/Curb-Agajanian features seven of eight returning drivers from 2025 back in 2026 to its Acura ARX-06 cars. And the only newcomer is also a returnee with more MSR specific Rolex 24 At Daytona experience than any of them – AJ Allmendinger is a 15-time Rolex 24 MSR starter and will make it his NASCAR number, 16, in 2026.

GTD PRO

RLL And McLaren Link Up

After 17 years with BMW, Rahal Letterman Lanigan Racing has a new manufacturer in McLaren with its No. 59 McLaren 720S GT3 EVO which is listed to debut at the Daytona test.

Kirchhoefer Joins Corvette Racing by Pratt Miller Fold

Similar to Acura MSR, Corvette Racing by Pratt Miller Motorsports returns all but one of its 2025 drivers back for 2026. In Daniel Juncadella’s place as third driver of the No. 3 Corvette Z06 GT3.R comes Marvin Kirchhoefer, who was part of AWA’s Rolex 24 winning lineup in 2025 in Grand Touring Daytona (GTD) in that No. 13 Corvette Z06 GT3.R.

LMP2

Quartet of LMP2 Team Reveals from TDS, Intersport, Pratt Miller, AO

Four Le Mans Prototype 2 (LMP2) teams put out their lineups this week for respective ORECA LMP2 07 cars. Defending champions AO Racing return an unchanged lineup in its No. 99 “Spike” the Dragon car, TDS Racing adds a pair of ex-Era Motorsport drivers to its No. 11 car, Pratt Miller Motorsports adds a second Fittipaldi to its No. 73 car and series returnees Intersport Racing brings in drivers that raced for four different LMP2 teams in 2025 to a single No. 37 car in 2026.

GTD

Myers Riley Ford Lineup is Refreshed

Felipe Fraga, Sheena Monk and Jenson Altzman will drive the No. 16 Myers Riley Racing Ford Mustang GT3 in GTD. Fraga is new to IMSA GTD after several years in both LMP2 and LMP3, while Monk adds a GT3-specification Mustang to a previous GT4-specification one she drove in her IMSA Michelin Pilot Challenge career. That trajectory matches Altzman, a Ford Performance Junior Team driver who raced both GT3 and GT4 specification Mustangs in a busy 2025 season.

WTR Returns Unchanged Lineup

The same trio of Danny Formal, Trent Hindman and Graham Doyle are confirmed once again aboard the No. 45 Wayne Taylor Racing Lamborghini Huracán GT3 EVO2 for 2026. Noteworthy here is the reference of the continuation of the Huracán until another new Temerario GT3 comes into GTD at a later date.

Challenge Series

Series newcomers Stallion Motorsports confirmed it will run a Cupra Leon VZ TCR in next year’s IMSA Michelin Pilot Challenge Touring Car (TCR) class).

TWOth Autosport, which ran most IMSA VP Racing SportsCar Challenge races with a Porsche 718 GT4 RS CS in Grand Sport X (GSX) this year, announced plans to run Ligier JS P325 Le Mans Prototype 3 (LMP3) cars in next year’s VP Racing Challenge.
