Entering December, Who’s Going Where in IMSA’s GT Classes for 2026?

DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. – Both going into the Thanksgiving holiday and shortly thereafter, a flurry of teams in either or both of the IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship’s GT classes – Grand Touring Daytona Pro (GTD PRO) and Grand Touring Daytona (GTD) – released their 2026 lineups.

Here’s a recap of the GT announcements from November 21 through December 4:

November 21: DragonSpeed Completes Corvette Lineup with Cairoli

Matteo Cairoli was named as the fourth driver alongside Henrik Hedman, Giacomo Altoe and Casper Stevenson in DragonSpeed’s No. 81 Corvette Z06 GT3.R in GTD.

November 24: Ward Honored at Mercedes-AMG Customer Racing Event

Two-time WeatherTech GTD champion Russell Ward was ranked second among more than 400 Pro ranked drivers in Mercedes-AMG Customer Racing’s annual year.

November 25: Triarsi Reveals Its No. 033 Ferrari GTD PRO Lineup

For its GTD PRO debut, Triarsi Competizione will field Ferrari factory aces James Calado, Alessio Rovera, Miguel Molina and longtime Triarsi driver Riccardo Agostini.

November 26: Tandy, King to AO’s No. 77 “Rexy” Porsche

Longtime prototype star Nick Tandy will return to his Porsche GT roots alongside rising star and British countryman Harry King in the No. 77 AO Racing Porsche 911 GT3 R in GTD PRO, now in its new 992.2 variant. Alessio Picariello remains as Michelin Endurance Cup third driver.

November 26: Muehlner Motorsports America Makes Comeback

After a several-year hiatus, Muehlner Motorsports America is set for its WeatherTech Championship return. Ryan Yardley, Peter Ludwig, David Musial Sr. and David Musial Jr. are set to share the GTD class No. 123 Porsche 911 GT3 R (992.2).

November 28: Pfaff Drops “Black Friday” Lamborghini Lineup Special

Pfaff Motorsports confirmed Andrea Caldarelli and Sandy Mitchell for the full season, with Mirko Bortolotti and James Hinchcliffe (Rolex 24) and Franck Perera (Mobil 1 Twelve Hours of Sebring and Motul Petit Le Mans) sharing the No. 9 Lamborghini in GTD PRO. The venerable Huracan GT3 Evo2 will run the Rolex 24 before the Temerario GT3 is set to debut in Sebring.

December 2: Heart of Racing Team’s Aston Martin Vantage GT3 Evo Lineup Freshened

The No. 27 Heart of Racing Team Aston Martin Vantage GT3 Evo features newcomer Eduardo “Dudu” Barrichello alongside Tom Gamble, with Zacharie Robichon and Mattia Drudi continuing their endurance specific roles.

December 3: Fleet of Mercedes-AMG Lineups Revealed

Lineups for all five Mercedes-AMG GT3 cars at the Rolex 24 (No. 48 Winward Racing, No. 69 GetSpeed and Bartone Bros. Racing, No. 75 75 Express in GTD PRO, No. 57 Winward Racing and No. 80 Lone Star Racing in GTD) were dropped, as well as two Mercedes-AMG GT4 cars for the IMSA Michelin Pilot Challenge Grand Sport (GS) class.

December 3: Af Corse’s Ferrari Returns

The No. 21 Af Corse Usa Ferrari 296 GT3 EVO will be back to defend its IMSA Michelin Endurance Cup championship in GTD with Simon Mann, Lilou Wadoux and Antonio Fuoco. Tommaso Mosca is the team’s fourth driver for the Rolex 24. The team also revealed a Rolex 24-only LMP2 entry, the No. 83 car.

December 4: Manthey’s GTD PRO and GTD Lineups Drop

Ahead of its debut, Manthey lineups for both its “Grello” No. 911 Porsche 911 GT3 R in GTD PRO and the Manthey 1st Phorm No. 912 Porsche 911 GT3 R in GTD have been revealed.

December 4: Ford Multimatic Motorsports Switches its GTD PRO Lineups

Same six drivers for Ford Multimatic Motorsports, but different pairings for its Nos. 64 and 65 Ford Mustang GT3 cars.
