ROBERT NOAKER, No. 13 Robert Noaker Racing Ford Mustang Dark Horse R (DH) – “I knew there was going to be some competition at the start with some good drivers behind me. The big key for me was restarts and just nailing that last corner coming up the front straight. If you don’t get enough of a jump over second place, they’ll get you by the first turn. I did that pretty well and was able to cruise to the checkered flag in my Dark Horse R.”
MARCOS VENTO, No. 18 McCumbee McAleer Racing Ford Mustang Dark Horse R (DH) – “As the first cars on track this morning, the conditions were tricky to start – cold tires on a cold track. The goal was finding a consistent pace through the race, and we just ended up with our first podium of the season. I’m really happy, and hopefully we can repeat it tomorrow.”
TATE PRITT, No. 98 Automatic Racing Ford Mustang Dark Horse R (DH) – “The start of the race was hectic, as I barely cleared a car that spun out in front of me. The yellow flags throughout the race helped us a lot. Racing with the Dark Horse R here is such a fun experience.”
ALEX BACHOURA, No. 33 Spark Performance Ford Mustang Dark Horse R (DHL) – “The name of the game was staying out of trouble, and you had to turn on your mental computer to determine risk versus reward. I played it safe, recovered a couple of spots and remained consistent. I have a really good team, Spark Performance, and they did a good job on my Dark Horse R.”
ZACHRY LEE, No. 48 McCumbee McAleer Racing Ford Mustang Dark Horse R (DHL) – “I was in an unfortunate spot at the beginning of the race. We regrouped in last place, and we just steadily worked back through the field in our Dark Horse R.”
DREW NEUBAUER, No. 79 NV Autosport Ford Mustang Dark Horse R (DHL) – “The Dark Horse R is an amazing car to drive. Having a great car makes my job easy, especially with such a solid effort by my NV Autosport teammates and crew. Today was pretty straightforward. It was really low grip in the beginning. I just tried to stay safe and out of everybody’s way, and then I settled into a good pace. The Mustang was great, and it was a lot of fun.”
