DragonSpeed Joining GTD Class with Confirmed 2025 Entry

Team’s Ferrari 296 GT3 Is Making Class Debut This Weekend at Indianapolis

 

DAYTONA BEACH, Fla – DragonSpeed, making its Grand Touring Daytona (GTD) class debut in the IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship this weekend at Indianapolis Motor Speedway, has been confirmed for a full-season GTD entry in 2025.

 

The Elton Julian-led team will field the No. 56 Ferrari 296 GT3 in Sunday’s TireRack.com Battle on the Bricks, but the car will carry No. 81 for the 2025 campaign. Drivers for the upcoming season will be announced at a later date.

 

DragonSpeed has been a part-time WeatherTech Championship competitor in the Le Mans Prototype 2 (LMP2) class in recent years, winning the Rolex 24 At Daytona in 2019, ‘20 and ’22.
