Andersen Returns, Lucas Joins High Class Racing for 2024 LMP2 Bid

The Team Is Partnering with MDK Motorsports Moving Forward

DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. – High Class Racing has announced its full-season driver duo for the 2024 IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship, with Dennis Andersen returning to pilot the No. 20 ORECA LMP2 07 alongside 17-year-old Seth Lucas in the Le Mans Prototype 2 (LMP2) class.

Andersen and High Class have been full-time LMP2 competitors the past two seasons, earning a pair of podium finishes in 2022. Lucas made his WeatherTech Championship debut this year driving in three races for Ave Motorsports in the Le Mans Prototype 3 (LMP3) class. The teen also drove this year in GT World Challenge events for MDK Motorsports, which has formed an alignment with High Class Racing for 2024.

“It’s exciting to be back in the high-speed world of the prototype class,” Lucas said. “Racing for MDK Motorsports is an exciting venture for me and one that I’m glad to continue being a part of for the upcoming 2024 season.”

Mark Kvamme, owner and driver for MDK Motorsports, was impressed with Lucas’ ability this season and looks forward to seeing the youngster develop in 2024.

“Seth joined MDK as a very new driver and demonstrated remarkable progress on track while consistently prioritizing both speed and preserving the car,” Kvamme said. “I have never seen a driver develop so rapidly without damaging the car. I look forward to watching his continued progress this season.”
