As the BMW M8 GTE Makes Its Final Appearance in GT Le Mans Competition, the First Photos of the BMW LMDh Are Revealed to an Eager Private Audience
DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. – As one eye fondly looks back, the other eye peers toward a bright future ahead. That summarizes the latest episode of “Mbedded,” the video series from BMW M Motorsport.
This installment focuses on the Motul Petit Le Mans that closed the 2021 IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship season last month at Michelin Raceway Road Atlanta. Set against the bittersweet backdrop of the final race for the powerful BMW M8 GTE cars, the weekend also provided BMW M Motorsport officials the opportunity to unveil renderings and secret photos of their LMDh prototype to officials and drivers from BMW Team RLL, which will operate the program when it begins WeatherTech Championship competition in 2023. Some lucky fans also got a glimpse.
Needless to say, BMW officials were eager to show off their progress in the project, and BMW Team RLL members were just as eager to see the BMW LMDh for the first time. Then everyone shifted their focus to sending the M8 out on a glorious note. Watch and enjoy.
