Mikey Taylor and Dr. Wiliam Tally announced to FastMD Racing’s driver line-up

FastMD Racing has announced that Dr. William Tally and Mikey Taylor will pilot the team’s second Audi RS 3 LMS TCR during the BMW Endurance Challenge at Daytona International
Speedway.
This will be Dr. Tally’s first season of IMSA competition. When Dr. Tally isn’t racing cars he is working his day job as an orthopedic surgeon at Athens Orthopedic Clinic.
“This is a dream come true for me”, said Doctor Tally. “To be competing at this level after just two years of racing just blows my mind. I’m ready for the challenges that will come before me in
my first season in the Michelin Pilot Challenge.”
Dr. Tally is slated for seven TCR races this season #32 for FastMD Racing and sponsor Centinel Spine. His relationship with Centinel Spine goes back to when he was a patient of theirs.
“In 2010, I Suffered a herniated disc in my neck which required surgery. Due to my training and experience, I had tremendous insight into the treatment options. I chose to have a disc arthroplasty using Centinel spine technology. After making a full recovery, I have been able to resume my very active lifestyle, most recently including a motor sports career. Our team is here to spread the word about the novel technology of Centinel spine, the clinical services provided by FastMd, along with my story of not simply tolerating a spinal injury requiring surgery, but thriving.”
For co-driver Mikey Taylor, the chance to race at Daytona again comes with great confidence after the success of last season.
“I’m really excited about the opportunity FastMD Racing has given me. My car was on pole at Daytona last year and I hope we can be right up there again.”
“I think FastMD Racing has proved they are a front running team in the past and now by adding a second car, I hope I can show the strength of their program. I’m also really excited to get to
work with Will in his first IMSA race and help him get comfortable in the series. Overall I’m sure it’s going to be a great week and I can’t wait to get on track.”
Mikey drove for JDC Miller Motorsports last season. In five starts he captured 1 pole, 3 podiums including a victory at Candian Tire Motorsports Park in July. This will be Mikey’s third season
competing in IMSA’s Michelin Pilot Challenge TCR category.
