Trading Places: Acura Drivers Taylor, Hindman Swap Rides at Sebring

DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. – Prior to February this year, 2017 IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship Prototype champion Ricky Taylor had never driven an Acura NSX GT3 race car, and 2019 WeatherTech Championship GT Daytona (GTD) champion Trent Hindman had never driven an Acura ARX-05 Daytona Prototype international (DPi) car.

All of that changed at Sebring International Raceway shortly after the 2020 WeatherTech Championship season got underway with the Rolex 24 At Daytona. While preparing for the upcoming Mobil 1 Twelve Hours of Sebring Presented by Advance Auto Parts – which now is scheduled for Nov. 11-14, 2020, the two Acura racers swapped seats.

Hindman was given the opportunity to sample Taylor’s No. 7 Acura Team Penske DPi machine, while Taylor got a chance to drive Hindman’s No. 57 Heinricher Racing with Meyer Shank NSX.
