Lamborghini Super Trofeo North America 2020 Season Includes First Visit to Toronto

Fans of Lamborghini Super Trofeo North America can start making plans for 2020 as the championship’s schedule for next year was released this evening.

The first round of the season will begin for the second consecutive year at Barber Motorsports Park from April 3-5. The 2.38-mile, 15-turn course proved to be a perfect venue to start this season and will once again challenge the field for another exciting pair of 50-minute races to get the season started just outside of Birmingham, Alabama.

Rounds 2 and 3 will be contested at Watkins Glen International in western New York on the weekend of June 25-27 as part of an IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship weekend.

A new venue will host Round 3 in 2020 as drivers and teams will head to Canada to be part of the Honda Indy Toronto weekend from July 10-12. This will be the only street circuit the championship will compete on in 2020.

The last two race weekends to be contested in North America include Round 4 at VIRginia International Raceway in Danville, Virginia from Aug. 21-23 and then Round 5 at WeatherTech Raceway Laguna Seca in Monterey, California on the weekend of Sept. 11-13.

The final round of the year will be the World Final which will take place in October of 2020 with the venue and dates to be announced.

The World Final marks the end of the season of all of Lamborghini’s one-make series which also includes Europe, the Middle East and Asia. It also serves as the ultimate challenge between the best drivers from around the world to decide the world champion of Lamborghini Super Trofeo.
