Co curricular activities are designed foster creativity, to develop leadership, sportsmanship and athletics, team spirit, social skills, diplomacy and communication, understanding religion and philosophy, stars and universe, arts, dance and music.

Creativity

Children are naturally creative. The academy has developed several forums for children to express their creative faculties.

The academy has spacious Dancing Studio with mirrored halls and stereo systems suited for both western and classical dancing.

Arts and Crafts studio is one of the favorite places for academy scholars to express and create. In addition the scholars visit pottery and jewelry making places to complement their art works.

Language Resource Center conducts frequent get-togethers for scholars to compete in original story telling, poetry, acting, creative writing.

Student Newsletter is very popular both among parents and students, where students interview teachers, parents, guests for various articles for their newsletter


Leadership

Media and Communication Center is a unique concept developed at IMSA, where the students from elementary level on are trained in front of video cameras and mikes to develop their speaking skills.

IMSA is the first academy in India to develop multimedia concept. Academy has six computer projector seminar halls currently, where students are making presentations on academic and non academic subject matters.

Student teachers go to adopted neighboring schools in E Bus and teach latest concepts in IT. Academy boasts one and only E Bus in India which is air conditioned and well equipped with Computer Projector, screen, Computers, scanners, Digital Flex-cam, Digital microscopes, talking Globe, TV and VCR and internet.

Student Senate is forum utilized by the students for mock government and learn the art of politics and governing and prepare them for larger roles they will undertake in their future.

Discussions on Religion, Philosophy, International politics, and current affairs are encouraged from time to time to develop assertiveness, confidence, information sharing, rationality, all of them and more that will help in development of natural leadership among academy scholars

Yoga & Meditation

Scholars at the academy actively participate in daily yoga and meditation sessions. Discourses on these subjects are arranged on a regular basis. IMSA boasts National Champions in Yoga among its scholars. IMSA has off campus meditation center in a Mango Grove, for exclusive use of IMSA scholars.

The Academy strongly believes that the environment continuously evolving on the campus blending Eastern Thought and Western resources is conducive to personality development of the scholars at IMSA

Team spirit and Collaborative effort:

The academy believes in group activities whether academic or non academic for scholars and encourages them to band together as groups and teams to work and compete and take successes or setbacks as teams.

In the class room the scholars are divided into 4 scholar groups with a group leader who rotates each quarter. The groups are given project activities that they jointly put together. The academy is divided into 4 houses for various activities for both academic and non academic nature.

This will encourage scholars to share information and participate in healthy discussions, agreements or disagreements and learn to build consensus that will help them in their future professional careers.

Regular classes are suspended every Wednesday so that the scholars can spend all day on co curricular activities.

Scholars spend the day on multimedia seminar presentations, poetry recitations, acting and theatrical, art exhibitions, and fieldtrip to industries, historical sites, mountain hiking, horse riding, beach trips, web page development and web site browsing, quizzing, debates, archeological excavations, community service, pottery and jewelry making, photography.

E-Bus

Students take multimedia equipped e bus to schools in surrounding villages as part of their student teaching.

Star Gazing

IMSA is the first academy in the world to have a Robo-Dome. Stargazing, exploring distant galaxies, satellites and International Space Station and talking to astronauts and Cosmonauts is made easier with a remotely operated dome, GPS telescope and camera, all mounted on academy roof top, from multimedia theater.

Robotics

IMSA is the only academy in India where Robotics is taught as a co-curricular activity. IMSA started the tradition of conducting camps in Robotics each year to benefit the students all over India.

Charity

Along with religion and philosophy, charity is taught as a subject and students of each class at IMSA adopts a school locally and look after the needs of the students for easy learning.
